Club Fundraising & Raffle Information
Did you know that our non-profit club incurs over $40,000 in ice and facility rental costs each season? That doesn't include our professional coaching, insurance, and program supply expenses!
To help combat rising ice costs while keeping base program fees as low and accessible as possible, Belmont Skating Club incorporates an annual Club Fundraising Fee at registration. We provide our families with multiple flexible options to either recoup this fee in full or directly support our club operations.
2026/2027 Fundraising Fee Structure
- CanSkate & Adult/Teen Skaters: $50 fundraising fee per skater (assigned one $50 booklet of five $10 lottery tickets).
- STARSkate Skaters: $100 fundraising fee per skater (assigned two $50 booklets, 10 tickets total).
- Multi-Skater Family Cap: Families with multiple skaters can request a maximum club fundraising fee cap of $150 for the season (assigned three $50 booklets, 15 tickets total). Please email the executive to adjust your invoice before payment.
How to Handle Your Fundraising Fee (3 Flexible Options)
Option 1: Recoup via the BSC Season Lottery (Most Popular)
Each family receives their assigned lottery booklet(s) early in the season. You can resell your tickets to family, friends, neighbours, and community members at $10 each. Because you already covered the fee at registration, you keep 100% of the cash collected to directly offset your registration costs!
- Want to win? Families can also choose to put their own name and contact details on the ticket stubs to enter the early bird and grand prize draws themselves.
- Want to sell more? Families wishing to sell additional tickets to help the club are welcome to request extra booklets from any Executive member.
- Only 1,000 tickets maximum will be sold this season, giving fantastic odds of winning!
Option 2: Recoup via RHEO THOMPSON Candies Fundraiser (orders due October 31, 2026)
Prefer product sales over raffle tickets? Families can choose to participate in our seasonal Rheo Thompson Chocolate Fundraiser. Profit margins generated from your chocolate orders will be credited/paid back to you to offset your Club Fundraising Fee (up to the maximum fee amount paid at registration). All skaters are encouraged to participate in our Rheo fundraiser even if they keep their lottery tickets to further support the club!
*Note: Families choosing to recoup via chocolates must return their unsold, intact lottery booklet to the club executive table and advise what email address an e-transfer should go to.
Option 3: Direct Support (Fee-Only / Opt-Out)
Families who prefer not to participate in active fundraising or lottery ticket reselling may simply treat the fee as a direct non-profit contribution to help offset club ice costs. If choosing this option, please return your blank, uncompleted lottery ticket booklet to an Executive member so the numbers can be accounted for and retired in our official AGCO lottery records.

All winning early bird tickets will be re-entered into the drum to remain eligible for the Grand Prize Draw!

All early bird prize packs are valued between $120 and $400 each.
- Thursday, December 17, 2026: UPLINK Early Bird Kick-Off – Two draws for a pair of premium seat tickets to a PWHL Hamilton game (winners choose from 3 dates).
- Thursday, January 7, 2027: WESTMINSTER MUTUAL Gift Basket & MISTYGLEN $50 Gift Card.
- Thursday, February 4, 2027: TIM HORTONS $100 Gift Card & 2 Tickets to our End-of-Season Ice Show.
- Thursday, March 4, 2027: FARROW FINANCIAL Gift Basket.
